Parent Teacher Association
Many parents ask me ‘What is the PTA?’, in short we are a group of parents and teachers from the ISL community who
jointly organize events that help to bring parents, teachers and students together in a spirit of goodwill and co-operation. In addition the Association strives to promote a better school spirit and it raises funds for PTA sponsored development projects at the school.
On that note we have our second event for the school year during October which is our traditional Welcome Braai, this event brings together all new and old families of the ISL community and gives everyone an opportunity to put faces to names and to enjoy themselves at a relaxed and social event.
At the beginning of the school year we host a coffee morning for all new families and we would like to thank all the parents that drop in for a coffee, chat and some wonderful cake!
If you wish to be actively involved in the PTA we meet every second Wednesday of the month at 17:30 hours, further information about how to become involved in the PTA can be requested through our email account islpta@yahoo.co.uk.
Finally, our AGM is on October 9th to elect a new executive.
Also at all of our meetings a board member representative, the head of school, secondary and primary principals all attend.
